Until this compare I thought that the skinner was massive. I suppose due to its wide blade. The 426 seems swordlike by comparison. I like the 103 as a spreader, if it only wasn't so dang sharp!

Great pictures of the two... Is it a purple 426... or a maroon one...

But if it's purple, I want one... That skinner is small...

Now I have to look at mine...

It is not purple. The light coming into my office is giving it something extra today:)

Another early drop point 426 added to the collection... Gotta get another glass display case as the current one is bulging at the seams!

Boy, I was going to have to start looking for a purple one...
That was close... I'm sure glad it was maroon...

That is a good looking Drop Point, for sure... Hard to find in good shape...
Did you get the box and sheath with it... :)

No box, no paperwork but it is new. Not sharpened by end user, not used, flawless, brilliantly sharp, perfect lockup and self close, centered when closed, no dents, no scratches and not a hint of lint! :)

So it's a PRETTY ONE... I like that... It's Beautiful to me...

I wish mine was that Sweet... Good find... Did you get it on the bay... :)

The knife thanks you for the kind words. It is blushing purple at the moment.

Source: I have this terrific window where the light hits just right so I put a 525 Bucklite in a pot full of resin and steel and it grew into the 426 you see. Had I not pulled it up by the roots who knows what might have developed... :)

The 103 has the longer blade. The 426 is listed as a 3 5/8" blade. I got one new from Larry O. with a olive handle. It just wasn't our style of drop point and we quickly sold it and I made us some drop point blades. Those are good history as they were Buck's first attempt. DM

Oregon, you quack me up... So you grow them like purple beats...
Send me some seeds... Please, I want to grow me some purple 422s... ;)
