104 Buck Twinset from 1966....

Thanks for posting your early twin set. It has been Sharpened. However, theres something in the Forum rules about posting knife selling prices. DM

Sorry for the mis- representation of the forum rule. This rule only applies to users that don't have the right to sell knives on this forum ie registered users.

Your knives are great and have been of interest to me recently. I have been trying to put a set of these together from 1961-'85 but realized that Buck just threw these sets together and in transition years they mixed the sets. This makes putting complete sets together difficult, when you purchase them off of auction sites. Having to make sure both knives have the same spacer material and tang stamp is hard with peoples lack of picture taking skills. Your knives in present condition could fetch up to $250, give or take depending on who is bidding and who wants the set. I have a set slightly older having the keeper strap style sheath and I spent less that $300. Here is a picture. Yours is a twin set and mine is a 117 trophy set. This make no value difference.

Wow, thanks! that's all I really needed to know. I'll take it from there. I'm not really a Buck collector per se, but I do like both Buck and Puma sheath knives and seem to turn'em up now and then hence the request. For the most part I'm into WW2 military knives...

thanks again!

David, I'm not trying to sell anything, just find out from buckpeople it's approximate worth in found condition.

I find no infraction....

If you update your Usergroup by going to Settings>Paid Memberships and selecting your paid membership, or by using this link: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/profile.php?do=editusergroups , people will not get confused and be able to answer your valuation question as long as you are Gold member or higher.

anvilring, could you update your membership group by clicking the link below my sig? We're getting reports of improper valuation questions being posed but since you have a knifemaker subscription you're good to go. The rule is that both "registered" and "basic" members, neither of whom have the right to sell on this site, cannot begin or post in a thread with questions regarding valuations. Hope that clears it up some. Thanks for your cooperation.

I'm really not making too many knives these days.... can I do/post such as this with a gold membership?

Absolutely. As mentioned, only "registered" and "basic" members are prohibited. But you should click on the link below my sig and update your user group in the interim. You can always change it again at a later date. (And it will save us some legwork.)
