In what year did Buck stop using the flap type sheath sheath on the 105's?
I'm looking at one on evilbay.

Ravenn,

I am not sure of the exact date, but I have seen 105's that dated in the early 1990's that still used the flap sheath, being auctioned on Ebay.

I sure wish i knew when we changed from one style sheath to the other but unfortunately, I don't have very much info on that kind of thing. Sometimes you can get an idea by looking at old Buck catalogues but often times the same picture was used from year to year even though changes were made.

The flap style or holster style sheath is my favorite for the fixed blades. I finally after quite a few years of searching completed my collection. I now have all models in the phenolic handle fixed blade line. I even have the 3 double knife sets. All have the flap sheath. Good luck with your auction.
