Wrought Iron Hunter

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got this finished this weekend. Slotted the guard with my new mill , a little faster than drill and file. The wrought is from an old wagon wheel, 3/8 thick. Wood is walnut from Crex, and blade steel is 1084. I put 3 handles on that %*&^ till I got one I liked. This one gave me a few more grey hairs. The end cap is threaded and then pinned over after glueing . Rustic Forged finish to 800 grit. Feric Cloride etch. OAL 10.25, Blade 5.75 Thanks for looking. jc

Thanks Guys, I showed this to a friend yesterday. He said wrap it up in a nice sheath and he'd take it . Guess I'll have to make a trip north.

Thanks again for the comps. I have another in the works that will be about
2" longer. It is made from OBS steel (old buggy spring ). It should make a good looking blade.
