Recommendation? 1084 final edge thickness

Hello all. I'm currently finishing a general purpose hunting/bushcraft knife with a high flat grind (but not full flat) of 1084 1/8" stock. Right now the edge ranges from 12 to 14 thousandths, which is reflected on the grind lines. If I take more off to straighten things out, will .010 hold up as a hunting knife?

Depends on how good your heat treat is, and how you use the knife. I often make W2 knives thinner than 0.010”.

JT heat treated this knife to 60 HRC, I believe. It sounds like .010 would still be a strong edge

If you thin it too much, just sharpen it a bit more.
