1084 hunter, trying out some leather work.

This is one of my favorites for a hunting knife. A lot of guys don't care for the front finger groove, but when I'm elbow deep in an elk, I like to know where I'm at without having to question anything, and have some security on the grip. I've found taking g10 past 600 gets a little slick, so this has a 400 grit finish with quick 600 over the top. Looks good and has a nice grip when it's wet. Upside down it's still pretty nice, but not "perfect", still very easy to manage. I went through several designs, and I'll continue to do so, but this one seems to have a good balance between comfort and never questioning where the edge is....which is what I was going for. Where do you live?
