Hello, my name is Tad Lynch. I've been forging blades for a couple of years now, and I'm getting ready for my first show--the A.G. Russell Knife Event. Here is a fighter that I'm getting finished. I would really appreciate some feedback from you guys.

Thanks,
Tad

What stabber said. Nice looking grind and it's got a nice flow to it,well done sir. Moon

Oh man that is nice!

I love everything about it, except for the top portion of the guard, just looks a little too tall IMO.

Beautiful work, I sure hope you will post more knives!

Impressive. Especially considering your being a relatively new maker.
Nice material selection. Quality stag and the wrought iron guard complements the blade and handle. Would prefer a ferrule or spacer though. Some good activity going on in the blade. A little more length in the raccaso would add in my opinion.
It's a big one. What, about a 12" blade?
Good job.

Kevin,
I think the angle of the photo is a bit deceptive--the blade is about 10", with a handle that's a shade over 5".

Yep, a bad angle as the blade looks about three times the handle length.
Though it looks good in the photo, I will bet it looks even better in hand.

Here is another, more side-on, angle. Maybe this photo will show the dimensions better.

There you go.
Makes both your handle and guard seem more proportionate.

Liking it more and more. Do I see a WI butt cap?

I will try to visit your table at AG's.

Kevin,
Good eye, here's the butt cap. Looking forward to the show, hope to meet you there.
