Looks very study.... I really like the look of the oak, reminds me of Wenge wood.

Dang that is super cool. One of the coolest finishes I've seen on American hard woods. Does the ebonizing cause those big crevices and slits or did the original piece of wood alrdy have those pits and look weathered. I love that look.
