Hey ya'll this here is one i forged a couple weeks ago and finished today.

details

measurementsare 10 1/4'' o.a.l., blade is 5 3/16'' tip to plunge, and just over 3/4'' at the widest point.

blade is flat ground and clay quenched. the finish is a satin finish, then i etched in vinegar/citric powder solution, then cold blued, and buffed of slightly to give a little bit of a worn patina look.

handle is 3/16'' black linen micarta stacked up, and the spacers are nickle silver. the butt cap is a file worked chunk of 60 some layer damascus, made from thin h/c stock, and it is threaded onto the tang, but to really keep the handle tight i also epoxyed it all together.

now that one, I really like! I don't know a better way to say this, but it looks like a knife:confused: You know, a tool which cuts stuff up:).
This integral looks like it will do the job for several lifetimes, and do a good job of it too. It looks like a nice handful, and I'll bet that steel butt cap keeps the tip light and feathery.
It's kind of plain and humble and I really like that in a knife, especially when the lines and proportions are right.
Love the finish.
