1095 and Cocobolo Chopper

This is an order that is long overdue. I still have another to make for him including a couple sheaths. I forged this one from 1095 and I think it has a great hamon, except the pictures don't show it well.

Here it is.







 
Great looking blade. Its nice seeing one of your hamons on a full size knife, the smaller ones you do its like just a little window into the hamon.
 
Yeah, I like this one. I have to get to work on the sheath soon.

Thanks, guys. I have another one that is similar underway that I will probably be taking with me to my next knife show.
 
Awesome looking knife you got there. Nothing better than that patina / scale look on the blade.

This looks to me to be an eclectic mix of metal work, finishes, and materials that came together just right. I really like the outcome. Thanks for posting.
 
Great work. The cocobolo looks fantastic with the forged blade. I like your makers mark, too... is that etched or engraved?
