Just finished this one. It was really fun trying to make a Bowie knife.
It's forged from 1095 bar. Guard and butt plate are forged from antique wrought iron and left polished without etching.
Overall length is 15,35". Blade is 10,3" from tip to the guard, and 2" wide. Thickness is 7/32" (5,7 mm) at the guard.

Thanks for looking.

The second picture down, in particular, makes me think of longhorn cattle and a Texas skyline. An evocative knife!

Thanks for kind words gentlemen.
Much appreciated.

I wanted to make something "classic" and S guard made of wrought iron was my first choice. It feels very comfortable in hand and looks pretty cool in combination with antler and etched blade.
My first idea was to etch wrought iron parts. I did it and they had really nice grain and pattern, but...
Since i read this thread, i wanted to try it.
I think it looks better this way, so thanks for the idea Marc :)
It was fun to make this knife, so i'm pretty sure i'll do it again.

Nice one Daado, it certainly has the "look" of your knives.
