Holy crap Bill, thats nice!!!! You are making it hard for me to save my money. That maple along with the
file work is outstanding.

Damn, next time my wife tells me blues and browns do not go together, I'm going to pull up these shots . . . . :D
Super looking knife once again BA, glad you are back as well . . .
Be safe.

Folks, BA is back in the saddle once again . . .
Nice grab magnumb, enjoy.
Congratulations.
Be safe.

Thanks guys! The spalted maple PEDC I ordered last week just arrived and it's just sick nice! I've got this blue curly maple PEDC on the way as we speak, so I'm living large right now. Let's see..........what can I hawk next?.....LOL.

I just can't get over how well finished off these knives are.......and I'm looking for blems!!!

Mag, I can save you some eye strain . . . you won't find any . . . :)
The first knife BA made for me, I just sat and fondled that baby for 20 minutes, not looking for flaws, but wondering how the hell he can turn out such a product with all those steps (see his thread on my knife), and not one issue anywhere . . . .
Great knives by a great craftsman . . . .
Be safe.

Thanks again guys! In truth, I don't think that anybody intentionally looks for blems....me included. But one can't help but spend an inordinate amount of time viewing each new knife for an extended period of time and being just in total awe of Bill's work, therefore unintentionally giving the impression of looking for flaws or blems. Bill is human, right? I'm not sure anymore, since his work is so out of this world. Given that he is, anything can happen, but I'm bettin' that none of us are any more particular about a finished product than Bill himself. That's sayin' something 'cuz I've been accused of being a bit anal at times......go figure.

It's late and my wife and I just rolled in from a B-Day party so I'm about to get involved in some major fondling and caressing........NO, in a fun way........with my new knives........LOL.

My best to all,

Ken

"Curly Blue" showed up today.........very nice. All around nice package. Couldn't be happier.

Bill has yet to underwhelm me. Talented.....very talented. He just happens to know either just what I'm after or he also feels almost exactly the same way about what a hunting/camping knife should be and then builds them that way. Don't know which one it is.....doesn't matter. It works for me.

My first damascus should be arriving Monday or so, says Bill's shipping info. I'm really looking forward to that one as well! That leaves no solid/confirmed order in Bill's pipeline for me. I'm having a bit of withdrawal here......LOL. We do have a project in mind, but nothing on paper as yet. That gives me just a small enough fix to maintain for awhile.........

Thanks Bill!

Ken

You think??
Im gonna post what i thought maybe you son would dig,so keep your eys open it will be a bit! lol

I swear Bill, at 60 years old, your post makes me feel like when I was 6 years old on Xmas mornin' just before running into the living room!!......LOL.

Problem is, now it could cause me a heart attack, this "keep your eyes open, it will be a bit" stuff.............

Geeeeeeeeeeeeez........

** Bill and I were discussin' a new damascus knife for my son's Xmas present. Sure, still a ways off, but never too early to start puttin' Xmas presents together! Bill has already made me a beautiful knife for my son's B-Day in Sept., so that's definitely taken care of. Since I have 4 knives from Bill currently, I might just have my son pick one from the 3 for his B-Day gift that aren't damascus.......the damascus that will be here Monday will be mine!!. This one (or even perhaps a different damascus knife) that Bill is hatchin' up, will be made specifically for him for Xmas.

Can't think of a gift that would mean more to him!!

Magnumb, did you see the Feather Damascus knife that Bill made? Talk about outstanding!!!!!
If you haven't seen it you will have to look it up.

WAYNE - when aren't they outstanding!!! No, I haven't seen it, but I'm about to. Thanks for the heads-up!

I'm interested in seeing your "drawings" that you speak of, as well. Seems that you have something very special in mind. You obviously know your stuff, which makes it even more intriquing. I'm not as visionary as you, but that's why I have Bill!!! That is of no little consolation when you're life's been necessarily more black and white than filled with imagination. I never got past drawing stick people hanging in the "Hangman" game either! That's not to say that my career in LE and then moonlighting as a porno star didn't sometimes have it's imaginative moments too........................just had one, in fact........LOL!
