Well folks here is my first post. I've been working on this piece for about a week, part time, and like to think it turned out pretty nice. So please let me know what you think good, bad, or indifferent. Hope my picture shows up.

Specs.

blade-hand forged 1095 .25"x1.5"x10.5" long
handle- stabilized olive wood
guard- nickel silver

Joe,

I congratulate you on a fine piece. Well done. Very smooth natural design.
If that makes sense .

Where are you located in Ohio? I'm down along the Ohio river in Washington Co.

Looks like a J. Johnson Mountain Man style of knife, would like to see more pictures and the sheath if you have one.

And would be happy to see more of your knives anytime

Is it full tang or hidden?

Thanks for the compliments. I'm not very computer literate, but i'll try to make some larger photos in the future. The blade is a hidden tang that goes about 3/4 of the way back held in with the first two pins. It's my first ring guard and I made it blade heavy, it twirls like a dream.

Yes great knife and I really like the ring guard. I have been looking at the olive wood and wondering how it works. Where I grew up in eastern Montana they had these small scrub trees called Russian olives and I have been thinking of getting some and checking it out
