little something different but thought you all might like to see it

jsut about sums it up its a wood lathe tool
blade is 5/8 thick and little over an inch wide making this negative rake scraper a heavy hitter

wow, very cool, thats a beastly amount of 10V
 
total tool length is 25 inch
the blade i thinkn including tthe tang was right around 12 inch in length so yes a big hunk of 10v
 
Im gonna have to look up how they use those kinda tools

wife told me that it looks small in the pictures and i needed to get a better pic showing size. the lathe i will be using this on can swing 24 inch bowls and turn spindles 42 inch long
 
yah you need something in there for scale , maybe one of them fancy looking old wooden foldup rulers coule make a cool prop
 
That's super nice, I used to do a lot of turning and have a friend that still does.. I often thought about trying to make a couple tools. This is pretty inspiring !
 
i need to make a heavy parting tool and i have a 10v bar cut that i want to make a bowl gouge out of but time as they say... i have to make knives to make $
 
I'm thinking you could make some serious $$$$ selling those to the high end turning crowd. Once they realize how well 10V holds an edge I'm thinking they would snap them up.

ther are some makers doign custom tooling but none fancy handles not sure how much market there is as alot of the guys turning are even more "thrifty" then we knife makers
