Alright I've been here since the beginnin' and 11,000 posts later I've learned so much here on these forums, I've been a paid supporter of BFC for quite some time and without doubt this is the place for any info regardin' knives, from makin' to collectin', (or in my case accumulatin').

I'm a member of many of the knife communities out there but BFC is where I come to roost because they are the best, because the majority of my posts were in General that's where I'll host this giveaway.

I've come to make a lot of friends many collectors, many knifemakers and also quiet a few whackos but that's what makes this place so great, diversity. There is such a diverse group of people here, I can spend days, weeks, heck even years readin' and postin' at BFC.

I've been lucky enough to even have won a few giveaways here and some of my favorite knives were won here at BFC.

Anyway on to the giveaway....

Up for grabs is a Remington R5 Lockback, it's from the 90s, it's gently used and in really nice shape, good lock up, no wobble, the blade is ever so slightly sharpened, I think it'll make a great EDC for someone.

Now if you're livin' in the Continental US, (AK and HI included) 18 and legally allowed to own this knife in your state you're welcome to enter, This is a gently used sub 3" Drop Point Lockback, (as far as I know, legal in the US everywhere but it's your job to make sure before ya enter) Basically if ya enter yer confimin' yer legal ability to own this.

The rules, enter once and only once, (a simple "I'm in" is all ya need but a pic of your favorite knife would also be nice), yer post number is your entry and I'll use a random # generator to pick the winner.

This is open to all members no matter how many posts you've made or where you've made em, 1 post or 20,000 everyone's welcome, I'll let this run till Sunday December 9th, 8 pm Eastern Standard Time after which I'll post the winner on Monday December 10th.

I'm also gonna post the link to this thread in Traditional and W&C so that the members that don't necessarily frequent the Traditional Forum can see it and enter.

Well that's it for now, thanks for puttin' up with my mad ramblin's and for all the feedback I've gotten over the years

That's a spectacular post-count Ted! On the wrong side of the pond, so this isn't an entry, but congratulations to you and good luck to everyone else

Thank you very much for the chance to win a great knife:thumbup:

Here is my all time favorite knife, a 1970 CASE 62087 in beautiful pocket worn (earned the real way by carrying it) red bone:thumbup:

I bought it new in 1970 with my allowance and money earned mowing lawns:) Yes I'm old:D

Nice knife. I'd love to have it, so stick my name in your drawing for it. 11000 posts is quite an accomplishment. I don't know if my attention span is long enough to match it. Thanks for the give away.

Congratulations on the 11,000, and please count me in for a chance at this beautiful lockback.

As it happens, I'm going through a bit of a lockback phase myself here of late!

Thanks for the generous giveway.

That's about a 1,000 posts a year, I'd say your off to a good start. ;)

Great giveaway.

Thanks for the chance.

My favorite slipjoint, this old Western barlow. It was carried by my Grandfather, and I inherited it this year. He has been deceased for two decades, but my Grandmother, at 97 years old, finally moved into assisted living. My dad found the barlow while packing her belongings up.
