I started with the Benchmade Shot Show CPM-M4 Griptililan on 11-06-2013. It has not left my side since.

This thread will be to post updates as the knife ages.

First sharpening today. Still a couple trouble spots from the wavy factory edge grind. The majority is nice and sharp. It has a ways to go but I don't waste the life of a blade.

Probably should not have done the first sharpening on a lazy Saturday morning after 4 cups of coffee..:D

On a side note, the black coating seems to be harder to abrade away than the grey cerakote.

Just looked at the pictures, took out my own grip to fondle and it decided to slip off the thumb-studs onto the blade

Put her through a different kind of corrosion test. We got about 24 inches of HEAVY snow. The truck with the blade got stuck.

No matter how fast he smashed into the snow it stopped.

SO, out came the shovels and bags and bags of salt.

Working right along, supervisor keeping his eye on us.

Knife really getting covered in salt, cutting through with rocks etc in the mix.

About 500 feet down 500 to go!

Finally finished and off to do two more, one 1000 foot another about 80. Quite a crazy snow!

Point of the story, I use this knife for everything and it holds an INCREDIBLE EDGE!!! I am more than impressed. It didn't gain any rust on the edge or logos.

This one will NOT leave my side. It the perfect EDC.

^ VERY Nice!

I had another CPM-M4 Benchmade that got me hooked on the steel. This one got me hooked on the full size Model. It seemed cumbersome to pocket at first but once I got used to it I wouldn't leave behind the usefulness of the extra blade length and comfort in hand!

I did just notice a little spotting from the salt but It will polish right off. I must have missed a few spots wiping it off on my jeans out shoveling.
