is, or is going to be which model with what options?

I've placed orders with three authorized RMK dealers for a 12-9 Sportsman's Bowie with a Model #14 blade grind in SS, a Model #25 handle, and a FCH NS hilt with matching NS end cap and lanyard thru-hole...I'm thinking about adding a NS handle name plate on my next orders of similar knives...lol

I ordered a Model 14 in O1 with nickel silver "double-hilt" guard and border patrol handle. It ships June 25th. I waited so long for this blade that I don't see it being much more than a safe queen.

is a model 19, leather handle, carbon blade, finger grooves, 4.5 blade. Just the standard catalog model. Why? Because the model 19 with all the goodies that I want on it doesn't arrive until sometime in 2012 and I wanted one sooner.

Maqua, sounds sweet, but for a safe queen, why not SS? It's so much easier to maintain...

Danno, if it's not too late, I'd suggest a swap to SS too...but, if nothing else, a NS hilt on stacked finger-grooved leather can't be beat...unless you drop another $15 and get the metal spacers too. Money well spent IMO...

Back on topic; I called around and ordered a buncha #25-5, #26, & #27 knives in SS, NS hilts, #25 handles (metal spacers a given), NS pommels, and lanyard thruholes...if I did this right, I ordered three sets.

Shel, the model 19 I have coming is one I picked up in the one day special sale last month, I was only able to get the non-SS blade. The one I have on order is coming with SS blade, nickle silver hilt, rwb spacers and finger grooves and I believe I ordered it with a thong hole too.

OK, I'll jump in. The next one will be a 14-CDT, stainless, BCP grind, nickel-silver double forward hilt, stag, nickel-silver butt cap, all black spacers. (I'm going through a BCP phase right now.)

"I'm going through a BCP phase right now..." Man, and that's just so darn sad. Being that I've been stashing seven option+ #14 CDT's, and all my BCP's already went to new homes--looks like we're outta luck from a knife swapping or trading standpoint...darn it.

I have a new SS #14 CDT with a NS #1 hilt, CS Cocobolo SFG handle, and radiused NS endcap w/lanyard hole that is so damn 'da bomb' I just want to sink my teeth into it...a real pretty knife that constantly reminds me just why it is that I like RMK's...:thumbup:

I'm watching an auction on the "Bay" right now: Pathfinder, #25 handle with polished stag. A real pretty knife, but it was at $810 the last time I checked, with two days yet to go. Ack! Maybe I'm gonna have to get me one of them. Yikes.
