A while back I asked for recommendations for someone to hotrod a 110 for me, and do some customization outside of the custom shop(which I love and appreciate Buck offering). I ended up going with Eric Arkulari of arksknives; Eric took an Alaskan Guide 110 and changed the rosewood handles out for Mammoth Bone. He just finished it and sent me some pics, and I thought I would share with all y'all in my excitement and anticipation of it's arrival. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Eric, will do so again, and recommend his work. Enjoy the shots!

Very nice, Durbin! That turned out fantastic.

Now you will have to face the age old dilemma - to use or not to use. :)

No Dilemma here, Al. To use is the option for me. It will be on my hip next week when it gets here. thanks for the kind words, Eric did a great job, I have never held mammoth bone before, looking forward to it.

yes Eric did some work for me not a while back and i LIKED it!
me it would go in the display case..
i have non fancy ones for users....

Dave, it certainly is easy to appreciate Eric's work. I do not have a display case, used to just buy a knife and carry it, then kinda became an accumulator which kinda became a collector, only my wife is not a big fan of the "herd", so it has been thinned considerably since the spring, and only have a few knives left. So display cases in "her house" probably ain't gonna happen!;):)

But I do enjoy carrying a nice looking, well built knife. And it is hard to beat the 110, I mean it is so functional, dependable, and frankly so pretty, just great lines and design, timeless even. For really hard work, I have an old 110 I use I keep in my truck. I use an AG or BP 110 for hunting.

Dress Up Carry..It's a good way to really enjoy your nicer Bucks! I dont put every Buck I have in rotation, but I love to carry something different like my BCCI elk 111.
