Recommendation? 110 aluminum paperstone vs macassar

Hi all! I’m currently trying to decide between a buck 110 with paperstone or macassar handles.
I’m leaning towards the macassar scales just because I know nothing about paperstone.
Does it offer any advantages over natural wood? Is it more durable/age well? Lighter weight?
Any feedback from you all for a slight newb is greatly appriciated! Thank you!
 
Of the two options I probably would have chosen the paperstone myself, but that is because I think that paperstone is a fantastic handle material that gets not nearly enough love. And other the other hand I have a number of lovely wood handled knives, and I prefer natural woods to dymondwood. Buuut, if I didn't have a bunch of knives, and I was looking for just one knife, I would probably have made the same choice as you. The aluminum is lightweight, and the macassar dymondwood is pretty.

Until last night, I thought the macassar was natural wood. I decided on it mainly because like you said, it’s pretty. But I will probably end up going back for the paperstone next payday:D
Does it feel any different than the dymondwood?
 
The paperstone sticks in the hand better and will be more durable than a wood. The wood has the more rich warm, tones. DM
 
Oh you really messed up! That dymondwood is terrible and will fall apart! :) No, it’s good stuff.
I do have one in the paperstone and I chose it because I think it’s lighted and goes well with the aluminum lightweight theme. You can’t go wrong with either. Congrats!
 
With the current sale going on, I chose the paperstone. Because I already had the Macassar. :)
 
P PStone , don't feel embarrassed. That is the real reason we all come here. You ask, "which one should I get?" And we all say, "Both!" And then you get to feel like it is okay because other people also think it is a good idea ;)

I actually just came home for lunch and ordered the paperstone too while it’s still sale price. Now the wait...
