Hello all, I just got back my 110 from the repair shop and it has A LOT of blade play when it is closed. It locks up real tight when opened. The blade can be pushed from one side to the other of the brass liner with very little force when closed, Is there any way to fix it myself? Thanks John

BTW Buck's customer service is great, everyone there is very nice and polite. They did a GREAT job on my 112 I sent with the 110. A BIG Thanks to everyone at Buck Knives, I greatly apriciate everything. John

I guess they could do something, but after reading your post, I checked the 3 110's that were out of my knfe vault and all of them basically can be moved as you describe when closed. But lock up rock solid when open.

Not sure if that's not maybe normal?

I have a bunch of 110's, 112's, and some 560's. Most all have some side play but with solid lockup.

I don't think they are broke.

Has been some threads on this. Don't know what you would search on to read them.

Thanks you guys. I kinda like the play after opening it a few times, It makes it real easy to open one handed with my thumb. I must say again Buck's repair team is great. Thanks John

All my lockbacks have blade play when closed. All brands that I have. All are solid when open.

I thought I read on these forums awhile back that it is in the design for a small amount of play when closed. Still a solid knife anyway you look at it. A classic!
