110 blade play

I got a 110 from another BFC member several weeks ago and haven't been able to play with it much until today when I'm sharpening it. I notice that there is a fair amount of side to side blade play on it, and no vertical play. There's enough play to hear it clicking against the sides of the handle.

Is this normal for the knife to have play (when I always heard about how strong the 110's lock is) or can I fix it myself (i'm a beginner) or send it into Buck for repair?
 
If there is side to side blade play when the knife is locked open that should be looked at by Buck. They will definitely make it right for you. A little side to side play before lockup is not that big a concern but once the blade is locked open there should not be any wobble at all.

I'm looking at the Warranty info on Buck's website and I just have 1 question.
Do I need to include any money to cover return shipping or fees?
