With the arrival today of my "new" Custom shop 110, Elk/NS/ATS-34, I think I have most if not all of the blade steels that were and are offered.

I have 110's in 440C, 425M, 420HC, S30V, CPM-154, 154CM and the ATS-34.
Am I missing any?

Bg-42? You must have just forgotten to list that?

So when can we expect a family photo Dave? I am anxious to see the ATS-34 and such ;)

:o:o You are so right, I have three or four with BG-42. It must just be something about that designation that made me ignore it. ;);)

;)

O.K. now we need pics!! Please? :)

Do you consider Buckcote and Ionfusion to be different also, or no, because it was 420HC underneath?

and damacus...old style damascus...the newer damascus...and the 13C26 and...oh yea, they haven't made 1 with 13C26....yet:cool:

Sunday Picture show stuff!

I do have both Bucote and Ionfusion knives but I hadn't thought of them as different. I guess you are right though.

It's been a really knife day here. Got a gorgeous 1997 wood handled 103 from a very good friend! Also a Stag/D2 118 and a circa '67 110 that was just refurbished by Leroy. I need time to get photos that will do them all justice. I don't want to rush into anything.

By the way Jim, Many, Many thanks!!!:D

Dang, I did forget the damascus. I have three of them I believe and one is a Yellowhorse.

Does Ion-Fusion count as an additional blade steel? Or titanium aluminum nitride coating? Technically these are steel variations.

Dang it, I need a keeper or at least kept away from sharp objects! While I was checking out the old 110's I let one snap closed across the back of my trigger finger and I just now got it to stop bleeding enough to put a band-aid on it.

I am supposed to go trap shooting tomorrow so I hope it doesn't hinder my shooting. Then again, my scores can't get much worse so maybe it might even help!

Well, lets see. I have a two line 110 (Buck/U.S.A.) read tip down, no dot three line and some 2 and 3 dot's so I may have both.

Actually, it's difficult to determine...there's so little documentation, Joe was unsure as to whether the 110 followed the same time line as the fixed blade knives, but it was around 1967 that Buck switched to blanked 440C, from the forged 440C:)

It might be better if I went with something like this.:o
