I have a early 70's two-line 110 with a broken blade. I also have an extra blade of the same period as the broken one. Will the Buck Shop swap them? If I do it, can it be done by removing the one brass pin? Thanks
I would contact Buck directly if I were you.Lots of folks have successfuly swapped blades in 110's and 112's but with a vintage knife I'd go with a pro.
If Buck won't do it you could ask Leroy Reimer in the US or Jerad Gilmar in Canada.Either one of those guys would do a fine job of it.Just my 2 cents.
I had a blade swap on a 2 dot 5 pin. I paid alot of money for the knife thinking the knife was pristine and when I got the knife I noticed that there was pitting on the tang by the blade stamp. I have many 2 dots and sent both knives in and had them swap the blades. I now look at the 5 pin and am happy with the outcome.
My Brother has a 110/112 set in Black micarta and asked me about rehandleing in Stag or MOP that has 3 pins on each end..The set came from a former Buck executive and I told him to keep as is. He would not sell me the 112...
