I know I am probably am asking a subjective question but what is an acceptable blade width on an early 110 with the slimmer blades and handles. Realizing that much of the older blades have been well used and sharpened(albeit sometimes incorrectly) what would you consider a good width. I know some of the experts that have seen 100s of 110s can tell by eye, but I am no expert. Thanks

The best thing is just keep your glims on the knives here that get posted on the threads.....a wealth of photo documentation, of how they looked "back in the day" or through the decades. Technical questions on the blade blank widths after or before grinding, I have no clue...LOL But I have had the same thoughts myself especially when it comes to reviewing 1960's 110's for an aquisition. What are the specs.

One thing to keep in mind about the earliest 110s is that they were essentially handmade. A lot of variability occurred during production and then may have been compounded by later sharpening. Work your way through the photos in the sticky at the top for the 110. It's called something like "still champion".
