Sikeston, MO has about 40 left on the shelf, and they are marked down to $19.00.

My local store was out, so I thought I was just out of luck. My first 110 after many 112's. :D

Yep, today I saw there are still four left at Walmarts here in Galveston, Tx. Price is $19.00.

I picked up one of these this past weekend. Unreal price! How in the world does anyone involved in the sale of this 110 make a penny on it? I like the Idaho tang mark as well.

Is this tin deal prove that American knife manufacturers CAN compete with China made crap? Seems to be.

Nce job, Buck!

Gotta believe that Idaho is less expensive than California for certain...BTW, to further reduce the cost of doing business around fuel cost, I heard the peeps at the Idaho plant are getting their rickshaw permits soon.

Goose,

I know you have, (ahem) difficulties, with the Search Function, but after Buck announced the move, I believe summer of '04, there was a great deal of discussion here about "why." Joe and CJ gave some pretty specific reasons, one of them was most definitely the cost of doing business in CA. I don't want to re-open that can of worms, but if you can find those threads, it makes for some extremely interesting reading.

Yeah Gypsy my roaming buckaneer...I read some of that especially after one of my initial posts about ChiBucks. I was "corrected" to the point of being slap happy by the drill instructors and wanna-be Catholic Nuns here on the board...so much so, that I now have a 198 Mantis as my letter opener. (I am trainable). Good quality.
Just putting in my two centavos to textoothpk

I personally think that Buck would prefer to be making all of their knives in the U.S.A., and their move from El Cajon to Post Falls will probably allow them to manufacture more models of their knives in the U.S. I have a couple Taiwan Bucks, and a couple of China Bucks, but, those models were only made in those particular countries, so, my choice was either to buy them, or, not....

I'd rather buy Buck knives made in America. I would prefer to financially support America and American workers....

A quick question about Terry Newton's and textoothpk's Commemorative 110s:

Any blade wobble/wobbling noticed...? That's been one rather widely-reported "problem" with the 110s in the Commemorative tins.

Thanks for checking!

ummmm.... It's a fine knife.
Was gonna get three more of the cookie tin ones for my dad and brothers' Christmas presents. Maybe four (an extra for me).

Went back to my Wally World and they are still out. And, I don't think they'll be restocking as the display case is empty of all knives. Well, you can get one of those Coleman filet knives in a blister pack off the rack if ya want.

Anyway, I've beat this death, but the one I got from John is fantastic. While I don't have a lot, it is actually one of the better "stock" 110s I have.

Indeed, it is a fine knife...
Goose.

Terry - Don't mean to hijack but haven't been in Sikeston in a number of years. Originally from the Warsaw/Clinton area.

Local SuperCenter has Buck 110's at $19 north of river KC and defies lowering the price any further.
