110 date

Is there a way to date my old Buck 110. I think I bought it in 1978 or 1979. It's still in great shape even after a lot of camping trips, trout fishing and years of daily carry. Did they use 410 or 420 steel in the late seventies?

The steel from the era you're talking about was 440C.
