Does anyone know what year Buck started producing the 110 with fngergrooves? I've come across a 2 dot with them and I didn't think those were ever produced with fingergrooves. This one looks a bit different from the norm, so I'd like to be sure before I pick it up.

Jake,
That knife is a head scratcher. Buck started the finger grooves in about 1982, so those knives should have four dots, not two.
This is also the time when Buck added a radius to the outside edges of the handle. The very first ones were done by hand and you can tell because the thumb depression area will still be squared off because we did not bother hand radiusing that area. Later versions had a full radius because the radius was incorpoated into the tooling.
I hope this helps and does not confuse more!
Take care,

Thanks Joe, once I got a better look at the knife I realized that someone had made the grooves themselves and RUINED two dot in stag. Go figure..
