Can anyone tell me what the first year that finger grooves were offered on a 110? Thanks.

Maybe you can narrow it down by looking at the radius on the bolsters. Blades says that in 1982 they started adding the radius and at first it was done by hand. Then later added to the hard tooling. The hand radiused pieces still have sharp corners in the thumb depression area. The tooled pieces are radiused all around. So you've got three styles of bolsters during Version Eight. Sharp (1981), hand radiused(1982-) and hard tooled (1983/4-85?)

If this doesn't help just chalk it off to useless babble ;0)

A link to my knife photos is under the thread called "Right side nail nick" As far as that photo when I was a Ltjg on teh USS Waddell, that was taken in 1984 when I was still young and raising hell. Now it's 22 years later and let's just say I'm a little older and leave it at that!
