Well, I woke up this morning and I'm another year older.

But life is good. I got a new 110 w/ finger grooves!!:D
I can see this knife thing is going to start snowballing now. I'm looking at buying a Vanguard 192. I saw one yesterday that I just might get. It has Cherrywood w/ brass guard & pommel.
Because of the Cherrywood would that have come from the Custom Shop? I don't see that wood listed on the Buck website as stock for that model. And being very new at this I didn't notice if it said Custom on the blade or not.

M60,

Go and get that 192...you need it. Oh, and I want to see a pic when you get it ;).

Happy birthday and congratulations!!
The vanguard could be a limited edition also, or a special production.
Where did you find this one? Sounds neat!! Just be careful with the Buck fever!!! Its contagious...:D

Where are you buying the Vanguard? Some people just make up names for wood handles......."Cherrywood" could be rosewood or cocobola or whatever unless you have a reliable seller. If it's from the custom shop they should say so up front.

Have seen it, in a pic. 99.5% certain because I recall how beautiful it looked. It was a catalog and I can't recall when or where. It looked very nice.
Where did you see it MichCruiser?

OK, Darryl...I gotta find something new for my signature ;)

I'll have pic's tomorrow after I bring it home. Maybe you guys can help me out with the wood type.

I sure thought they were calling it Cherrywood in the case.
