Thank you for your help! This knife was originally purchased by my father.

I also have a Ranger 112 from the same era. Do the 112s have versions and variants, too?

That looks like a Version 4, Variation 1. It has a separate, not integral, brass spacer/springholder, a brass rocker rivet and an inverted two-line stamp. Joe Houser gives an approximate date of 1970-1972

Early 70's looks correct. The sheath looks to be in great shape and has the scalloped top but the blade has been sharpened badly down. How is that possible? Must have been pocket carried it. DM

That is a nice looking knife and it has 440C steel. Nobody did 440C better than Buck. In their capable hands it is a top notch steel.
