I found a (actually 10) 110's at a pawn shop yesterday and 1 jumped out at me because it had 2 dots with 5 rivets, 3 were at the butt end.

It looked like this 4 dot except it had a 3rd rivet between the 2 along the spine and they were tiny. According to the data-sheet that Joe Houser posted, it should be 3rd version 6th or 7th variation, but I'm not sure.

Worth the 40.00 they had on it?

Yes.

One of the experts will be back from huntin' later and fill you in. (Getting over a bad cold or I would be gone also.)

No way a 4 dot could be 3rd. Version . The sheets end at 1980, Fifth version, 7var. and by then still haven't gotten to the 4 dots . The 4 dots were mfg. at the earliest 1981 probably more like 82 . I don't know if Joe's extended the sheets that far . DM

Hi Mitch,

The extra inlay rivet is on the transition knives.....I know transition knives? Yes, the transition between the two inlay rivets and the three inlay rivet knives. They already had some two inlay rivet knife parts made and just drilled the extra holes for the new three rivet inlay and then filled all the holes with inlay rivets.....they are a cool variation and not to common. You can also find 112's with the same rivet configuration.

Don't get involved in a pissing contest over what version/variation it is...it's just cool! There are now to many version/variation list to follow them all IMHO.
Here is what the BGTK&TV shows.
"SIXTH VERSION 110: 1974-80
During this timeframe, Buck added an extra inlay rivet to the end of the Macassar-ebony inlay"

JB, "There are now too many versions to follow". I agree . I've seen some of those and they had 2 dot blades in them .
