110 leather sheath shape change for the better

Did anyone notice that the newest 110 leather sheaths have changed slightly in shape? Specifically at the bottom. The new shape is less tapered so that the knife does not distort the bottom when pushed down. It fits quite nicely and looks much less sloppy. By the way, I also noticed that the leather quality is no longer stiff like some people (including myself) were complaining about.
 
I always soak a leather sheath in warm water the put the knife in and let it dry with the knife in it.
 
Yes,I certainly noticed what you are talking about with the 110 distorting the bottom of the sheath,making a huge bulge it looks bad,now if they would just go back to the old style wide belt loop and lower carry,I would actually use one.The new higher carry narrow belt loop sheaths tend to flop around too much on my side after the sheath is used for awhile and the loop becomes supple.Glad they changed the taper on the sheath though.
 
Yes, that has been my experience too, Razorblades. 'Floppy' is definitely the right word for it. I prefer a leather sheath, but I use the cordura ones.
 
Does anybody know a place where i can get a leather horizontal sheath for a 110? Preferably online or Ebay sellers.

BTW, where did you get a horizontal leather sheath Blades?
 
LOL I can't help with the car,but when my knives were stolen out of my house,my sheaths were all stored seperate,so i have a few sheaths with absolutely no knife to go with.I sent you a e- mail tholiver,send me one to the addy i gave ya.I bought mine directly from buck years ago when the website first started,they had them for sale .

The sheaths are definately a nice option for 110 carrying position!

I wore it today while shoveling snow, cause ...well i just wan't to wear it, lol.
Very nice design too, Buck should bring back those horizontal sheaths.
