Joe in his 110 data sheet references sheaths as A, B, or C. Can the experts explain the differences for me. Would appreciate the info.
Thanks

Buck used to contract their sheaths and pouches to different companies for manufacture. So A and B were the names of the companies that made them for Buck. Eventually Buck knives made the sheaths themselves.

A Angeles Souvenir
B Atcheson Leather
C Buck knives leather shop

If i'm wrong someone please humble me :)

Thanks Doug, I can tell the diff between those sheaths with the fixed blades. What do the 110s look like? Buck on the snap, Buck on the snap in a circle,
110 tooled on the back etc.
Thanks

I also would like to know. How do you tell the difference between the 3?

well I'm no expert and only going by the Data information here are three early examples. Notice the first one is thin leather.

Mine is a 1969 110,and the sheath looks like the 4th one over from the left, still a great knife.

Here you go. Here's a 1967 one line 110 with a Buck* stamp. The sheath is the thin type, 'Buck' on the snap and no other wording. Straight top sheath. DM

This sheath is a 1993 or 94 as it has Buck 3 times on the snap. I don't think that was in Joe's writing for a A, B or C sheath.

Your examples are the way I understand the differences. Very nice sheathes by the way.:thumbup::thumbup:

Dale, I believe you have it right also. The three sheathes on the right should all be what is referred to as "C" sheathes.
Your second sheath doesn't have the same loop stamp as Doug's, but it is also what I believe is the Atcheson or "B" sheath referred to in the data sheet. It has the tooled edge.

A couple of pic's I've seen on here on the Bladeforums .
