I bought my 110 as a gift to myself while traveling. I wanted a cheap inexpensive knife, but one that had quality to it. So the 110 fit the bill, and I've discussed it's virtues on many o' forum.

However....it occurred to me today as I was carrying the 110 that the black leather sheath that comes with it is another amazing value. I usually carry the 110 when it's really hot out, and I'm going to be outside a bunch. I can sweat all I want, with the 110 outside my belt it's not affected.

The leather came smelling great (I know it's weird), and easily molded to the knife after only a few uses. It's maintained it's strength, and the detail of the Buck logo stamp and the brass snap saying Buck just shines.

I haven't seen many positive reviews on the sheath for the 110, so I wanted to add my .02 cents. I love the sheath, without it the 110 would not carry as easily, and I would have paid aftermarket if they didn't include it.

My apprentice just bought a 50th anniversary knife that he uses at work and the belt loop stitching came loose and the sheath fell off.

I agree the leather sheath made in Mexico seems high quality and the price of the knife plus the sheath was a great bargain. I searched the web a bunch and then around Fathers ' day it seemed Buck and a few others had sales. I'm happy with the price I got.

just a tiny tiny bit close to the end that you push to disengage the lock. Through to the tang it's solidly flush with the liners though.

I would take a pic, but it's so small i'd doubt it would come out it's that tiny of a difference.

Gotta give it to the Central Americans. They are just amazing with their leather. Also, its not weird that you love the smell of leather. I just love going to Tandy for the smell. Good smelling leather is one of my selling points.

I like those sheaths too. Good fit and finish with the knife and sheath. Yes, the lock bar on my Buck knives have come all nice and flush. If they didn't I would have just fixed them. DM

How do you fix something like that? sand it down so it's flush or take it apart?

It may sound weird, but I love the smell of a fresh from the factory sheath.

ok, so along with Ferahgo we have 3 people including myself that love the smell of leather. Maybe we need to look for a car freshener in the smell of leather!:
