I just received my 110 MS. This knife has a lot of potential, but..... with the blade extended there is about 3/16th inch side to side wobble at the tip. This knife has never cut anything, never been abused. Needless to say, I am disappointed. Has anyone else had this experience?

Thanks,
Tom

I received an MS110 a little over a month ago and had the same problem. The false edge on the back of the tip wasn't finished either. I contacted Jeff and sent it back and he corrected both problems! (Thanks again Jeff.)

Jeff told me that this is common with the MS110 because of the nickel-silver frame. Apparently the manufacture uses some different tooling than the brass frame models. I better not comment too much because I don't know the exact details and may wind up saying something that is wrong. I will let Jeff comment if he wishes.

Anyway, all is better now. The blade is tight and should work in over time. I love this knife.

The Nickel Silver has more variation in the riveting pressures needed to stay tight. THis material is alot more suceptable to air pressure variations than the brass material is. Hence we sometimes get looser blades out of the Nickel Silver, gets even worse with titanium 560's.

Jeff,

I guess I've been lucky as all of my Bucks with NiSi fixtures are nice and tight. I prefer the appearance of NiSi to brass which explains why I've been drawn to them.

Still looking forward to the Custom Shoppe opening
