I was cleaning up the 110 I posted in the other thread I got for dirt cheap. It's newer and on one side the silver pin that the lock bar pivots on sticks up about an 1/8 inch. It's nothing major but us jus on the one side. I haven't handled that many 110s but have never noticed this b4.

So is this normal? No thing, just a curiousoty.

1/8” is a lot to stick up - that is inconsistent with any I own, new or old. You could try to gently tap it back down with a brass hammer and/or brass pin punch or send it to the buck spa for cleaning, sharpening and repair of that pin. OH

Ok. Thanks guys for the info. It's greatly appreciated as always. It doesn't seem to effect the operation of the knife so I might just use it and see what happens. Maybe take OH advise and give it a gentle tap, will see.

Yeah
That what I was thinking but it's not mared or otherwise messed up so idk.

Yeah. Give or take a smidge.:D
Pics would be good to see. I suppose you could grind it down and re-peen it, but a trip to the factory would be the best road to success.

A homemade rocker pin?

I'll get pics in a little bit. But it's not that much of a problem to send it in. I would pay more for shipping then I did 4 the knife (only $5) I was just curious if anybody else ran into this.

I'm tempted to line up all my 110s and take a pic. I can say the peened pin head should be measured in millimeters.

I have a 5160 version somewhere...the rocker pin isnt peened completely as flat as the other side. its ain't real high as ya mentioned, maybe just a hair more than the other side. no issue with use. I'll see if I can locate it........

Thanks but no need to do all that. It's not that big a deal. It doesn't effect use.

Mine only does close enough....:D:D:D:D:D

I know I have some, where the pin sticks out that far... I think I would use a punch, not sure about brass though, and see if you can stake it down a little farther.... I would protect the handles with a heavy terrycloth towel or something similar due to your OCD.....:D:D:D:p
