Hello everyone,

I was given a 110> in about 86/87 I think. It has been in storage for years, and I just got it out the other day. The mechanism is pretty gritty, the blade is not sharp anymore, and its generally looking a bit worse for wear.

Living in Australia as I do, does anyone have any suggestions on how to give it a good overhaul? Not knowing anything about knives, I figure the best way would be to get someone who knows what they are doing to fix it up for me.

I noticed on the forum that Buck has a really good service department; would they be able to help do you think/.

Thanks for your help.

Gerard,

I, among many others here, have sent several 110's in to Buck for cleaning and sharpening. They come back almost a new knife! The charge at the factory is minimal. Coming from Autrailia I would think the biggest expense would be postage.

Joe Houser (Forum Moderator) at Buck would be the person I recommend you contact. Click on his name above for email info.

And BTW - WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!! Stop by anytime to chat. We think we are a friendly bunch in here and we all have a bad case of Buck Fever..... Be careful - it can be highly contagious!!! :D ;)
