110 Sheath

I don't know if this has been discussed before but the new 110 I recently bought has no felt disk covering the inside of the snap.Just me?

Buck starting using a plastic buckle piece on the inside of the sheath instead of the felt.

I Ve noticed all of the new sheaths have no felt,my new ones have the rivet exposed ,but it feels like a rubberized coating is applied to the back of the rivet face?Ive noticed there is no marking the handles with a round Mark like the old 2 dots used to get on the wood from the snap pressing into the wood,so it must work lol.

Rubberized coating on back side of snap. Works pretty good.

You can get those felt pads at the hobby stores.

I just looked inside and I didn't see the felt disk.I guess I'll have to feel it to see.I didn't realize that that it was rubberized coating.Good to know.Thanks for the info as always!
