Can the blades on the 110 Sport (take apart model) be swapped with other 110 blades? Are the pivot holes the same diameter? Dont know if this was discussed in other threads. Thanks for any info.

T tiguy7 , has worked with and made his own take-a-part knives and will have the answer.
I think most will , but remember him saying the ones for the Selector models had to be modified.
I'm sure he'll see this and respond.

Most blades will work including the old Selectors (a good source of loose blades).

For example, with no modifications, this blade Buck Selector 550REBX would work ? I believe the 550REBX is the "2.0" version. Will all 2.0 version blades work or only the original V52 blades, with no modifications?

Just take apart, pop in the new Buck Selector 0550REBX-B.

Thank you T tiguy7

Thanks tiguy7. What about a regular 110 blade from a standard pinned together 110 knife? Is the pivot diameter the same?

I was thinking of getting the 110 sport and then using a blade from maybe a 110 LT as a "beater blade". Plus I just like the idea of being able to replace the blade.

I don’t own any of the new Selector blades, but based on the photos, I would guess that only the old Selector would work.

In my experience all of the following blades are interchangeable: pinned 110 blades, Model 186 Titan blades, old Selector blades, BCCI take apart Aluminum blades, 110 Legacy blades, as well as many aftermarket 110 blades. You can even drop 112 blades in a 110 format knife, but handle is long relative to the blade.

The bushings in the 110 blades are the same diameter as the pivot T-Nut in the take part knives. If your blade utilizes a bushing, keep the pivot bushing and the blade together because they are a matched set where the bushing is ever so slightly wider than the blade. When the bushing is “clamped” between the scales, the slightly slenderer blade can swing. With the take apart knives, no bushing, the scales must come close to the blade without pinching it. The adjustment is held with blue LocTite.

Some places STILL require under a 3" blade. I've heard about special 'Legal to carry' short blade long handle defense knives..
