Anybody tried sharpening their 110 sport yet? I thought I was going to get mine a little sharper and ran into little surprise. The thumb studs stick out a bit to far not allowing the angle I want without hitting the stone first.
Wondering if anyone else has run into this as well?

At 15 degrees I haven’t had any problems. I hand sharpen on a 4 inch diamond work sharp and a 6x2 bench diamond plate.

Idk, at under 15 degrees the thumb stud might get in the way. I haven’t tried anything less than 15 and that’s about my least degree I want to go.

I’ve heard some guys say they removed the thumb stud for various reasons but I’m not sure about the sports how they are put together and come apart.

How I've solved the issue with various knives with thumbstuds hitting the stone is to tilt the benchstone so it hits the edge at an angle. You might have to modify your technique a bit.
(I dont have a 110 or stone on me right now but it should still give you an idea)
