Came home to find this little time capsule in my mailbox and thought I would share it with you fellow 110 lovers out there in Buck Land...
Usually I'm pretty bad about getting my before shots, so here they are...in all of its patina'd glory, and yes, those are tiny little rust spots on that beautifull un-scratched, un-sharpened, full 440C blade :D ...not too bad for a few Sawbucks;)

Ok Sitflyer, I know it's going to come out sweet... Can't wait to see the new pics... ITE ...

That one hasn't seen a lot of use in 32 years. It should purdy right up!!:thumbup:

Looking forward to the pictures of what lays hidden underneath.

Tried a new aproach on the blade. A little elbow grease and some 0000 steel wool, followed by a small piece of leather loaded with white rouge...I like it!
under those 32 years of tarnish, a few small useage marks presented themselves...someone gently used this beauty, but never to the point of needing a stone...the factory edge is still intact...but not for long! This one is going to get an occasional carry by me...it deserves it. I'm not going to remove anymore at this point, the brass is shiny and the wood is a nice cocoa coffee blend of colors...a happy day :)
cloudy day pics...

Thanks ITE:) It is still like magic to me to see what's under the tarnish revealed.

Quite nice. Here are some (badly overflashed) pics of a tipped 4 dot I recently got and cleaned up. Yours is in quite a bit better shape, but it was well well worth the pittance I gave for it.

Good save on the clipped clip there Simple man! That one has many years of service left in it!

I was really quite surprised on that one. It was the sellers long deceased father-in-law's and he had done a very good, and refrained, job of fixing the tip. It actually reminded me of a Busse penetrator tip the way he ground it from the top. He ground it from both sides of the spine following the clip. First picture is how I recieved it.

I'm a newbie to this website, but that buck was my very first knife about 50 years ago. I traded it for a slingshot and some other stuff (hey, I was a kid). Thanks for the memories.

I have replaced it. But with other brands.

Once my paid membership is enacted, I'll formally introduce myself and provide pics of a few knives. I will also check out the Buck website and see what they offer these days. Consider yourself assimilated:)
