They are ok,for a 110 not needed at all.they snag on meat and hide if feild dressing animals the hook on things.they are ok for other purposes,but not on a hunting knife .I thought they would be a great add on to my hunting knife.a nice thumb rest for skinning but they proved me wrong lol.
I take them off any knife I get. I one hand open my lock backs by pinching the blade and swiping the butt end of the frame on my thigh. Luckily, I never leave the house without my thigh. ;^)
I tried it on a 110 for a while but felt there was too much sweep for this length blade when deploying. Ended up switching it to a 112 instead and it feels much safer.
I honestly would prefer spine jimping on my 110 or a finger guard bolster like on my 112 instead. If those were options offered from the factory I'd be all over it. Also the ones I used were Kwik thumb studs (ordered from Ebay). If Buck really does sell the ones pictures above, why they don't list them on the website is a foolish move on their part. They could be taking in a ton of orders if they did.
Back in the day,
When the one-armed-bandit stud attachment
Was all the rage;
It seemed the perfect solution
To an otherwise dicey non-studed
One-hand-opening.
Dunked it.
And resorted to reverse flipping out the handle
Whilst griping part of the closed blade instead
Works for me since the 110 is butt heavy.
It's about time buck knives
Did a proper finger hole version of the 110.
