So, to clarify, I'm definitely talking about the 112's clip point blade, not a pocket clip.
Here is a very lousy looking and crude attempt. I don't have photoshop and don't have digital photo skills, but this is what I'm talking about...

As for it looking "wrong".... It's so funny what looks "right" and what looks "wrong". It's no surprise to anybody who's read my posts in this forum that I'm not a fan of clip points. I blame it on getting an Ulster BSA knife as a kid (they have real spear points on them).
In particular, as much as I love the 110 (and I do), I've never warmed up to the clip point, particularly to the proud "crown" at the transition from the flat of the spine to the clip which is just above the nail nick.
To my great surprise, the clip point on the 112 looks "just right". It's not enough to say that it's shorter and thus better. It's balanced against the rest of the knife and it's one reason why I think the stock 112 is the most beautiful stock knife. (I still prefer the looks of them with 442 style drop points though.) I think another reason I like the 112's clip point is that it evokes the style of clip on the KaBar/MK II or on the smaller civilian oriented utility knife, the Schrade H-15.
Sometimes, small changes make for big differences. I knocked off the "crown" of my 110 and added a bit of curve to the spine to mirror the very slight curve of back of the handle. Sorry for the lousy picture but to my eyes, when the knife is in my hand, it is more visually balanced than it was before. Not perfect but better. Stock 110s blades generally look "wrong" to me.

Weird and unjustifiable as my tastes in beer and bikes but there you have it. The 110 looks wrong to me, while the 112 looks right (or better) which led to me wonder...
