I just bought a 110 finger groove on ebay and it looked like it needed a little TLC. The description said someone had lightly scratched their intials in the wood. I don't have it yet so I'm jumping the gun a little. Can the wood be refinished or is it resin impregnated? Would you just buff it, or sand and refinish? I wonder how an oil finish, like on a gun stock would do.
I'm planning on sending this one to Joe for a BG-42 blade so I may let him take a look at the handle too.

Bob,
If you are sending the knife to Joe for a new blade, by all means ask him to have it refurbished. If the initials are just lightly scratched, Efrin will buff them out and the knife will look like new.
