I get a burr that won't go away when sharpening my 110v military, does anyone know any magic tricks to banish it????

I don't get a burr sharpening S110V with medium or fine diamonds and finishing with a 600 grit strop.

Run the blade edge down on a medium ceramic stone a few passes until the burr is gone, then start over and alternate sides so a burr doesn't form.

Try running the edge over a corner of very hard wood, like rock maple. You may be pressing too hard when sharpening. Try a lighter touch.

Ok thanks guys. I broke out the paper wheels and that seems to have gotten rid of the problem.
