1117 Short Neck Knife

I'm interested in the Ka-Bar 1117 Short Neck Knife. I've found only one dealer who lists it, but Ka-Bar does not on their web site. Are they just behind on updates or is there a problem since so few dealers have this?

Also:

--who would I contact at Ka-Bar about whether they are considering scales for this knife?

--alternatively, who would make custom scales for this?

post in the ask tooj section at the top. these where just released about two weeks ago so I would guess still being shipped too dealers and a bit slow on the website update but I would not know for sure. its a great little knife grab one!!
