I was watching the "kniveslive" program last night that's put on by SMKW. They were offering a Yellowhorse custom 111 and made the statement that the 111's were no longer going to be produced by Buck in the USA.

I have seen and bought some of the final production run 111's from them awhile back, but the part about not being made in the USA any longer made me wonder.

Is Buck going to move production of the 111's offshore?

I kinda picked up on that, too, and was wondering. I'm guessing, though, that he just meant that they weren't being made, period. I'd be really surprised to see them contracted overseas. Those boys on Knives Live say a lot of things that have me scratching my head--but I watch them any way. Much to the chagrin of my better half. Last time I bought something from Knives Live, I was a little disappointed in the shipping and handling that SMKW's charged. A might on the steep side, I thought, but I'm pretty limited on being able to buy local.

There have been a couple of times that I was tempted to call in, but them not giving a s/h cost stopped me (plus the long wait on the phone):thumbdn:. I've ordered from their website, but I've always bought enough to get the free shipping.
