Our friends @ C&C are offering this model in both 112 and 110 variants (110 pictured).
Are these the first slims with a liner (G10 with a Micarta liner :p)? The standard slim G10 does not have a liner. Maybe that is why they call this the "Pro Plus".

I'll go look at the 112..I like my regular 112 Slim more than I thought I would. I've carried it on and off then on for over 2 months. I have to decide whether to buy for my collection or for a user. I just couldn't use one of the build outs or BCCI 112's I have in S35VN and I have really ,really been wanting to try any Buck in that steel since it's considered one of the best by many Custom makers and is a real upgrade by many major knife companies. I'm NOT a steel snob by any means but it's only been the last 5 years the 112 got most steel upgrades other models always had. and for the first 10 years (after 2006) I collected 112's any 112 with anything other than 420 was precious and rare..Oh well I can always drop it in my display after careful use lol!

Are the handles the same width as the factory Buck slim with G10 or micarta?
Is there any reason to do this other than looks?

I looked at the slim 112's when I was in Tennessee a couple of weeks ago. I liked the G10 better than the Micarta. Both were nice, I just preferred the tactile feel of the G10 in this case. I missed the sale so I bought a red Select to go with my blue Select. I really like the looks of these by C&C. I have a Spitfire from SK Blades in S35V, but have to admit I haven't used it enough to have an opinion of the steel. So many knives....so few things that need cutting :p

I had my slim pro on me when I read this....
It's all about blade steel.
The other day I broke my last razor blade and ended up cutting 500 ft of rubber membrane with my s30v knife..... No problem.
Took it home and stropped it and all is good.
Do that on the lesser steel.
The g10 is great. It's light weight, stout and reliable.

Lacy says "hi".

Those look nice I think a 112 pro plus will be my next Buck. A question for someone with both a 110 and 112 slims/ pros are the clips the same size on both knives?
Hi Lucy
That was my black lab name she has been gone a long time but one of my best dogs ever.

Dogs are cool.
We've had 5 Collies now.
I grew up with them and so did my wife.
We got Lacy and her litter mate/sister out of the humane society in the next state over. They we're going to go to a shelter but when I told them our experience with Collies they let us have them both providing we would keep them together. They're a hoot.
Grandkids climb all over them, never a problem.

I like my 112 pro plus. I have abused it somewhat and it's still tight. I probably carry it the most. I got one of those aluminum framed 110 with the clip instead of the pro 110. It's nice but nowhere near as compact.
I thought the price was a little high for the pro when I bought it, but you really do get what you pay for.
Thanks.

The clip on the slim selects is the same for the 112 and the 110. I think they're the same on the pros, but I don't have those so....
