112 50th Anniversary Stamp Changes / Modulations?

Hello everyone!

Please allow me to ask a quick question about the stamping on the 112 50th Anniversary models (I did search the forum but found no "definite" answer; maybe I have just been too dumb to find it, so please nevermind, if this has allready been covered ad nauseam).

I figured that the 112 50th Anniversary models (which are not from 2014, like the 110s, I presume?) had one "50 in an anvil" stamp as well as one stamp reading "Buck USA" next to each other on the blade - I hope I got it right at least this far.

This is where my question comes into play - the 112s I had seen so far, all had the "anvil" stamp on the left side, the "Buck USA" stamp on the right side next to the "anvil" => is this the only configuration, the 112 50th came in, or are there also genuine 112 models that have the order switched ("Buck USA" on the left and the "anvil" to the right of it)?

I saw my first copy with inverted ("Buck USA" left, "anvil" right) online today and it left me wondering, if there was a modulation in the stamping of genuine models.

Maybe someone can help me out! Any input is much appreciated!

Thanks and best,
Alex

PS: the order above is always assuming the letters and numbers can be read the "correct" way (= looking at the knife blade facing up, handle down)

Not sure what you're referring to.
Here's the 112 50th Anniversary that I have...

I don't recall seeing any 112's in the stamp configuration that you describe but nothing would surprise me. I have three 112's with the 50th Anniversary stamp. Two standard models and one that came back from the Spa with a 2022 blade. All three stamps have the same orientation.

Hello!

Thanks guys! Much appreciated!

I can rule out inversion of the image, because the "Buck USA" could be read the "correct way" in the photo.

I think I found out what was going on in the meantime, because in the shot I saw posted, only the blade/bolster region with the stamps was visible, not the entire knife (and the image was uncorrected for the incandescent light it was shot in, so off-colours all along) - checking back on previous image posts, it appears the one very knife with the inverted stamps was there well before 2020, which brings me to believe, it was no 112 after all, but simply one of the 2014 110s Anniversary model (which was thrown into a 112 discussion).

Sorry for bringing this up, with a wrong understanding that I was not seeing a 112, but a 110.

Best,
Alex

No worries, we all like to discuss knives and any unique features of them. If it makes you feel any better, I've made worse mistakes.
Hello!

Thanks a lot mate! Also for the additional image!

That image I saw did indeed just contain the very top of the bolsters (and the stamps in prominent display), so with there being no word on a 110 being shown in a 112 discussion, I was left scratching my head... 😬

Thanks again to all who participated and best regards,
Alex
