112 ecolite w/t/stud vs plain? What are your opinions about feel and useability? I am considering a 112 ecolite and wasnt sure about one vs the other. The t/stud version looks kind of clunky.

The paperstone ecolite 112 with the stud has the 450 blade, thumb jimping, handle choil protects your finger and BLACK paperstone (I have no complaints with the pivot action: opens cleanly and self-closes easily despite no pivot pin washer showing on the handle). You gotta remember to push up, towards the pivot, to be happy with this small knife's thumb stud opening ability.

The paperstone ecolite 112 w/o the stud does look cleaner. But it may have some trouble with opening and self-close unless it is the updated model with the pivot pin washer showing on the handle. I'm holding off buying the regular paperstone 112 until I find the ones with the pivot pin washers. However, I have two 110 paperstone ecolites w/o the pivot pin washers and only one is problematic opening and closing (I understand that this problem is compounded when it exists on the smaller 112).

Either are great knives, but that 450 "Ranger" with the thumb stud, is just one handy EDC knife!
